“Dads ‘n Lads” Saturday Racing Starts in November
WSC is starting monthly “Dads ‘n Lads” sessions (for parents and children of either gender!) on Saturday mornings from 10 am to 12 noon. Racing will be on the Raceway track with a reduced power setting, using standard cars (pictured right) and controllers provided by the club. First session will be this Saturday 22 November. All welcome!
Andy Dunmore Dominates Front Engine Car Final
Andy Dunmore took the overall win in the Front-Engine (for Sports GT and Saloon cars with a front-mounted motor and prop-shaft driving the rear wheels) series after dominating the qualifying weeks with a near perfect score. Adam Le Maistre managed to build a very quick car for the last qualifying week and take the lap record. Dick Gardner’s car came good after inconsistent results in qualifying rounds due to mechanical failures - he won the D and C final and was second in the B's ending up 5th overall! Matt Tucker and Mick Kerr both had to make tyre-cleaning pitstops in the A Final (Mick one and Matt two) allowing Mick to take third place.

COMING UP NEXT:
Next Thursday on the Scalex track sees the last round the year-long Formula One series. The following week’s racing will be the first round in the four-week Rally car mini-series - the last races in our 2008 calendar.
‘Dads ‘n Lads’ is the next event in the Raceway schedule at 10.00 am on Saturday 22 November. The Tuesday club night schedule on the Raceway continues on 25 November with 1/32 BSCRA Falcon Production racing.
